Early Years
I was born to Madan Mohan Gupta and Savitri Gupta on August 27, 1953, in Sheohar, Bihar, India. My father, Madan Mohan Gupta (1920-2006), was a well-rounded and prominent figure of his time. Read more about my father. My mother, Savitri Gupta, a high school-educated homemaker, was a driving force behind my pursuit of higher education, providing unwavering support and resources.
My parents instilled in me the importance of setting ambitious goals, and their love and encouragement played a crucial roles in shaping my journey. I am happily married for 49 years and am blessed with two children: Keerti Gupta, a senior officer with the Canadian Federal Government, and Vivek Gupta, an IT professional with a global IT company based in San Jose, California, USA.
My professional journey spans over 45+ years, during which I have had the privilege of working in both full-time and contract roles across a diverse range of industries. This extensive experience has provided me with valuable opportunities to learn, develop, and implement best business processes and practices. Born and lived in Sheohar in the State of Bihar, India where I graduated from high school. Had excellent upbringing from my school teachers and the people in my parents' network. The contribution of my High School Principal-Yogendra Prasad Singh (A President award winner for best teachers) and my commerce teacher-Roop Narain Mishra were valuable in shaping my academic career after high school.
Completed my College education from R.D.S College, Muzaffarpur in Bihar. Received gold medal for securing first class first rank in the university
Completed CA Article ship Training, Got married to my wife Sudha Gupta-1975, First Job in TATA Steel in Kolkata as Internal Auditor and later in Jamshedpur in various capacities including Administrative Officer, Also worked with Usha International as Regional Accounts Officer in Patna and Bharat Wagon & Engg. Ltd (Central Govt PSU) as Assistant Manager (Finance) in Muzaffarpur, Bihar-India.

Migrated to Canada in 1999, Completed my Canadian and US CPA credentials, Worked with Federal Government of Canada (Ministry of Revenue) as Income Tax and GST Auditors to administer income tax and GST laws and regulations. Was also assigned many investigative roles in Special Enforcement Program (SEP), administered by the Ministry’s Tax Enforcement Agency-Canada Revenue Agency
Transitioned my career as independent ERP Financial System Consultant and during last 17 years was involved in more than 30 large IT projects in USA, Canada,UK,Germany,France and Poland. Most of these projects were led by large system integrators such as IBM,Deloitte, KPMG,PwC, Accenture and SAP.
